Ferndale: Three days of festive and automotive fun!!

As the Woodward Dream Cruise continues to be a phenomenon as well as the world’s largest automotive event celebrating classic car and rock ’n roll music culture, the city of Ferndale is proud to present the 16th Ferndale Woodward Dream Cruise. The festive event will feature three days of family and automotive activities, along with live rock ’n’ roll entertainment for all to enjoy, beginning Thursday, August 19th thru Saturday, August 21, 2010.
As part of the Ferndale excitement, Ford Motor Company, our presenting automotive sponsor, will be showcased at Nine Mile and Woodward and be the largest presence of any U.S. automaker along the Woodward Dream Cruise 16-mile route. Our additional sponsors are Motor City Casino & Hotel, Credit Union ONE, WOMC 104.3 FM, Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, Allied Printing and C&G Newspapers.
The 16th Ferndale Woodward Dream Cruise features our traditional attractions on East Nine Mile, including the Official Woodward Dream Cruise Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show and Lights & Sirens Cruise, Ferndale Classics & Cruis’n Legends Vehicle Show and Mustang Alley. Our two signature “Rock’n Live Entertainment” stages will have three days of classic rock and roll music by seventeen live and local bands.
Downtown Ferndale will also feature the Xbox 360 Kinect™ Experience Tour, merchant & food vendors, a Kids Play Zone with moonwalks, a mountain climb, a bungee jump and a variety of amusement games.
The 3rd Annual Bee Hive Jive Metro Detroit hairstylist designing piled high hairdo masterpieces. Hosted by: Paul Mitchell School of Michigan
Official 2010 Woodward Dream Cruise Merchandise (posters, shirts, dash plaques, lapel pins, magnets, baseball caps and mugs) will be on-site, located on East Nine Mile Road, behind Como’s Restaurant.
